Allegations of charging huge amount from PDS dealers
Bhubaneswar, (Voice of India) :- The government made a specific provision for issuing new ration cards under the Food Security Act of 2013. Nischintkoili, which has become a hotbed of corruption in the administration, and all the dealers in Cuttack Sadar block supply department are accused of looting the rice of the camp while the officials of the department are collecting huge sums of money from the PDS dealers. As many PDS dealers in Cuttack Sadar Block and Nischintkoili Block are being charged huge sums of money by the Code Supply Officer, many dealers have informed with their names confidential. . Officials are threatening that if any dealer insists on paying large sums of money, he will be excluded from the deal and put under vigilance. In relation to the said incident, Cuttack Sadar supply officer Nihar Ranjan asked his brother, he says that the said incident is completely untrue and false, similarly Kedarnath Pradhani, Nischintakoili supply Inspector , says that the said fact is false and baseless. There are a total of 66 dealers in Cuttack Sadar Block , and 6,000 quintals of above rice are being supplied, while dealers are being paid Rs 90 and Rs 104 per quintal as commission. However, the state government has been demanded to look into the incident when there is a public debate that if a high-level investigation is conducted, the truth will come out.
