Sarada said that the previous government has not done anything after being in power for 24 years

BJD members demanded not to do party politics

Bhubaneswar, (Voice of India/Binaya Kumar Das):- After the change of government in the state, commotion was seen in the today Cuttack District Council meeting. The members of BJd District Council expressed their displeasure at the meeting based on the comments of Mahanga MLA Sarada Pradhan. About which political warmth has been revealed in the meeting. On the other hand, the important issues of the district were discussed in detail in today’s meeting. The demand to speed up the process of assessing the damage and paying compensation, especially in the areas affected by rain and flood water, has been intensified. District Council Chairman Kishore Chandra Mishra presided over the 8th District Council meeting today in Cuttack District Council office conference room. Participating in the meeting, MP Bhartruhari Mahatab said that public welfare works can be carried out within the stipulated time. Jagatsinghpur MP Bibhuprasad Tarai coordinated with the public representatives and called upon the department officials to work towards the successful implementation of the plans. Asthagard MLA Ranendra Pratap Swain, Salepur MLA Prasant Behera, Banki MLA Devi Ranjan Tripathi, Cuttack Chaudwar MLA Sauvik Biswal, Mahanga MLA Sarada Prasad Pradhan, Badamba MLA Bijaya Balabehera, Cuttack Sadar MLA Prakash Chandra Sethi, District Public Council Vice President Subhadra Das were prominently present. presented their views. Discussions on natural calamities, agriculture, potable water supply, rain damage assessment, drinking water, irrigation projects, major water supply systems and their status in different blocks, large scale water supply, small irrigation projects, health and education were emphasized. On this occasion, BJD district council members expressed their displeasure over the depth of Mahanga MLA Sarada Pradhan. While discussing the issue, MLA Shri Pradhan lashed out at the previous government. Shri Pradhan said that the previous government could not develop even after 24 years of governance. Later, he directed the departmental officers to take immediate action and resolve the various problems presented. Departmental officers of various departments also promised to take steps towards solving the problems. Assessing the damage caused especially by rains and compensating farmers, repairing storm shelters, cleaning drains, eliminating water problems, providing piped drinking water to waterlogged areas of the district and implementing lift irrigation projects, filling up important gaps in various places. It was informed that the departmental officers will take action on the matter. Chief Development Officer Subas Chandra Roy, Additional District Magistrate Dr. Dibylochan Mahai, Cuttack Sadar Sub Collector /Magistrate Jyoti Shankar Roy, Athagad Sub Collector /Magistrate Prashant Tarai, Banki Sub Collector /Magistrate Devi Prasad Mahadi and other officials were present in the meeting. Finally, District Council Vice President Subhadra Das expressed thanks.
